🎯 The Challenge: Lead & Scale Accounting with Precision
We're not looking for a traditional accounting manager who checks boxes and closes books. We're looking for a leader who builds systems, drives accountability, and can guide a team through 5,000-7,000 transactions per month without breaking a sweat.
You'll report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for:
- Ensuring financial accuracy and timely execution
- Streamlining processes to support scale
- Coaching a team of 4 through volume and complexity
- Aligning day-to-day accounting with company-wide performance goals

High-Volume Operator - You've led accounting functions with intense transaction volume and tight deadlines. You don't flinch-you organize.
Process Builder - You see inefficiencies and fix them. You document processes, simplify workflows, and build sustainable systems.
Team Leader - You coach, manage, and hold people accountable. You don't micromanage, but you never abdicate.
Detail-Obsessed - You take pride in clean numbers, reconciled books, and catching what others miss.
Finance-Operations Bridge - You understand how operations impact financial results-and how finance can drive better decision-making.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead a 4-person team across corporate and property management accounting
- Own monthly close, account reconciliations, AP/AR, and trust accounting
- Manage 5,000-7,000 invoices/month across maintenance and property management
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and internal control within a high-volume environment
- Optimize systems and processes-streamline, automate, and scale
- Partner with leadership to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Use tools like QuickBooks and AppFolio to drive real-time accuracy and clarity
What You Bring
- 5+ years in accounting (property management or real estate a strong plus)
- 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and AppFolio (must-have)
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
- Experience managing high-volume financial operations
- Comfortable leading people and driving accountability
- Bonus: WIP (Work In Progress) or construction accounting experience
