About the Role
As a Maintenance Operations Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for coordinating third-party vendor work, managing communication between residents and techs, reviewing invoices, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. If you're energized by structure, systems, and solving problems, you'll feel right at home here!
This role is fully remote (international applicants welcome!)-but you'll be working closely with our U.S.-based team every day. You'll have support, resources, and a clear roadmap for success!

What You'll Be Doing
-
Assigning and scheduling vendor work based on skillset, urgency, and geography
-
Keeping everyone-vendors, residents, teammates-in the loop at every step
-
Reviewing repair results and ensuring the job meets our standards
-
Collecting invoices, checking them for accuracy, and preparing bills for the PM team
-
Tracking timelines and helping us hit our internal service goals
-
Building strong vendor relationships and being their go-to point of contact
What You Bring
-
2+ years of experience working with vendors, general contractors, or maintenance teams
-
Solid understanding of residential repairs-plumbing, HVAC, electrical, general fixes
-
Familiarity with material/labor pricing (Chicago area a plus!)
-
Strong organizational skills-you keep things on track
-
Great communication-you write and speak with clarity and professionalism
-
A self-starting attitude-you don't wait to be told what to do

The ability to manage lots of moving parts while keeping your cool
