GC Realty & Development, LLC is a top property management and brokerage firm in the Chicago area, overseeing 1,500 units on behalf of more than 500 private investors throughout the city and over 100 surrounding suburbs. We've grown year over year since 2003, and there's plenty more ahead. We're hiring a remote Maintenance Dispatcher to direct our field technicians and make sure every job gets scheduled, assigned, and wrapped up on time.

Compensation

• Hourly: $8.00 to $12.00 USD per hour, paid weekly, based on experience
• Performance Based Monthly Bonus: Up to 12% of base pay
• Paid Time Off (PTO): 10 days
• Holidays: 7 US holidays

Our office runs on US Central Time, the same clock as most of Mexico. No night shift.

What You'll Do

• Match technicians to jobs based on their skills, location, and current load, rerouting and reshuffling as the day unfolds to cut drive time and avoid overlaps
• Handle urgent and after-hours repair calls, sizing up priority and sending the right person out per emergency protocols
• Spot missed visits, late arrivals, missing notes or photos, and recurring problems, raising trends with the Director of Maintenance
• Monitor KPIs such as response time, completion rate, and scheduling accuracy, and partner with the maintenance team to review coverage and workload
• Check timecards, materials used, and job notes for accuracy before anything is billed or closed
• Pinpoint bottlenecks and slowdowns, and recommend ways to make dispatch faster and more dependable
• Keep the field team to our standards for attendance, productivity, documentation, and communication through coaching, follow-up, and documented corrective action when necessary

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of dispatching, scheduling, or maintenance coordination experience in a high volume environment
• A solid understanding of time and material costs, and how long repairs typically take
• Experience leading field based or trade and service teams preferred
• Prior experience with work order systems like AppFolio, ServiceTitan, or similar preferred
• Reliable high speed internet (50 to 100 Mbps download, 10 to 20 Mbps upload), plus a working camera, microphone, and dual monitor setup
• The ability to manage a remote team with clarity and structure, holding people accountable without being in the room with them
• A calm, solution oriented mindset that keeps schedules moving even when the day gets chaotic
